河钢舞钢是我国宽厚钢板生产和科研基地,我国重要的宽厚钢板国产化替代进口基地，现有资产总额132亿元,职工一万余人。具有年产钢500万吨、宽厚钢板300万吨、销售收入百亿元以上的综合实力。

河钢舞钢于1970年建厂，原为国防军工项目。1978年9月，河钢舞钢4200mm宽厚板轧机建成投产，一举结束了中国不能生产特宽特厚钢板的历史。1997年9月，河钢舞钢由原冶金工业部直属企业改制为邯钢集团控股的有限责任公司，2008年6月加入国内钢铁集团—河钢集团。

30多年来河钢舞钢因特而建，因特而兴，奠定了在中国宽厚钢板行业的特殊而重要的地位。河钢舞钢拥有的四米一、四米二两条宽厚钢板生产线，主体设备有超高功率电炉4台，钢水精炼、真空处理设施11台，大型钢锭模铸线9条，300×1900mm板坯连铸机一座、300mm×2500mm 板坯连铸机两座，4100mm双机架宽厚板轧机和4200mm宽厚板轧机各一座。

Wuhan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. was established in 1970 as a national defense and military project. In September 1978, the 4200mm wide and thick plate mill of WISCO was completed and put into operation, which ended the history of China's inability to produce extra wide and thick plates. In September 1997, WISCO was transformed into a limited liability company controlled by Hangang group from an enterprise directly under the Ministry of metallurgical industry. In June 2008, WISCO joined the domestic steel group - WISCO group. Over the past 30 years, Wuhan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. of Hegang has been built and flourished for its special features, laying a special and important position in China's wide and thick steel plate industry. There are two wide and thick steel plate production lines of 4m1 and 4m2 in WISCO. The main equipment includes 4 ultra-high power electric furnaces, 11 steel refining and vacuum treatment facilities, 9 large ingot mold casting lines, one 300 × 1900mm slab caster, two 300 × 2500mm slab casters, one 4100mm double stand wide and thick plate mill and one 4200mm wide and thick plate mill.
