山东阿掖山集团前身为安东卫冷库,创建于1987年。2001年发展为山东日照阿掖山食品有限公司,2005年正式成立山东阿掖山集团。现有资产总值35亿元,员工1600人,管理人员100余人,专业技术人员30余人。集团下设5个子公司和一个食品科研机构,是集水产品、鱼糜系列产品加工及食品科研、生产、冷冻、冷藏、餐饮、房地产于一体的大型综合性企业,年销售额100亿以上。公司占地1200亩,建筑面积86800平米,拥有26000平方米符合国际标准的现代化厂房,和与生产配套的可容纳20000吨的现代化冷库,并从国外引进了模拟蟹肉、鱼糜、鱼丸、竹轮鱼卷、速冻冰轮等现代化生产设备,年生产加工各种水产品达15万吨以上。
