同和居饭庄是北京最早经营山东风味菜的中华老字号,开业于清道光二年(1822年),至今已有180多年的历史,主营山东福山帮菜。据史料记载,同和居创始人原是清室的一位皇亲,为在宫外有个方便的去处,便邀来几个人在北京西四南大街北口(原西四牌楼西南角四合院内)开办了此饭庄。

同和居饭庄系京城著名“八大居”(即:同和居、砂锅居、泰丰居、万福居、阳春居、东兴居、广和居、福兴居)之一,也是八大居中名气最大的饭庄。关于“居”的说法,有资料记载:“字号的垫尾字有代表这个馆的等级和风味作用。它们有庄、园、堂、楼、居、坊、馆、铺、摊之分。以“庄”以“居”字号垫尾者属中档次,用“居”垫尾字号亦常有自身特色,如“同和居”有三不粘、烤馒头、银丝卷。因此京城“八大居”则是各有风味特色的名馆。
同和居原在西四十字路口西南角,由于无停车场地一度影响销售。1994年搬至西城区三里河月坛南街贵阳饭店二楼。现有营业面积600平方米,店堂由六小厅环抱着一个近400平方米大厅组成。大厅装饰古朴与现代相结合,典雅、别致、宽敞、明亮,小厅各具特色,各小厅匾名称与店名同和居遥相呼应,即:天和厅、地和厅、人和厅、和悦厅、同和厅、同乐厅,占了天时地利人和之意。
