河北银行成立于1996年5月28日，是全国较早一批5家试点城市合作银行之一，由石家庄市区48家城市信用社组建为石家庄城市合作银行，1998年6月和2009年11月，先后更名为石家庄市商业银行和河北银行。2012年6月，省委、省政府为做大做强地方金融产业，将其纳入省级管理，成为全省一家省属法人银行。

截至2016年末，全行资产总额3026.34亿元，较年初增加806.87亿元，增长36.35%；存款总额1938.84亿元，较年初增加317.48亿元，增长19.58%；贷款总额1227.14亿元，较年初增加226.95亿元，增长22.69%。全年累计实现净利润26.15亿元，较上年增加3.87亿元，增长17.37%。全年省内机构缴纳税费14.37亿元。主要监管指标保持达标，监管评级为二类行水平。

Founded on May 28, 1996, Hebei bank is one of the first five pilot city cooperative banks in China. It was established as Shijiazhuang City cooperative bank by 48 city credit cooperatives in Shijiazhuang city. In June 1998 and November 2009, it was renamed as Shijiazhuang City Commercial Bank and Hebei bank. In June 2012, in order to make the local financial industry bigger and stronger, the provincial Party committee and the provincial government incorporated it into the provincial management and became a provincial legal person bank. At present, Bank of Hebei has 237 branches in total, including 13 branches in 11 cities divided into districts, Tianjin and Qingdao, and 80 County branches, realizing the full coverage of county institutions around the capital. In addition, Xibaipo Jiyin village bank and Jiyin Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. were established. The bank has 4452 formal on-the-job employees, including 651 doctoral and postgraduate students. By the end of 2016, the bank's total assets were 302.634 billion yuan, an increase of 80.687 billion yuan or 36.35% over the beginning of the year; the total deposits were 193.884 billion yuan, an increase of 31.748 billion yuan or 19.58% over the beginning of the year; the total loans were 122.714 billion yuan, an increase of 22.695 billion yuan or 22.69% over the beginning of the year. The accumulated net profit for the year was 2.615 billion yuan, an increase of 387 million yuan or 17.37% over the previous year. In the whole year, 1.437 billion yuan of taxes and fees were paid by institutions in the province. The main regulatory indicators are kept up to standard, and the regulatory rating is at the level of class II banks.
