2014年3月,乐视体育文化产业发展(北京)有限公司在乐视网体育频道的基础上正式成立,由单一的视频媒体网站的业务形态,发展为基于“IP运营+内容平台+智能化+互联网服务”的全产业链体育生态型公司。

2015年5月13日,乐视体育完成8亿元的A及A+轮融资,公司估值为28亿元。2016年4月12日消息,乐视体育今日正式宣布获80亿元B轮融资,公司估值约215亿元。

乐视体育以“让每个人更好地参与体育”为使命目标,确立全球化、产业化、互联网化三大发展理念,致力于整合全球体育资源,强化科技融入体育的力度,打造体育全产业链体系,推动体育产业全面升级。

在全球化方向,2015年7月,乐视体育美国硅谷总部正式挂牌,开启了双总部的全球化布局。美国总部负责全球研发合作以及美国市场开发,中国总部负责体育产业生态布局和中国等市场开发。9月,乐视体育香港公司正式成立,知名媒体人程益中出任CEO。2015年乐视体育还先后在重庆、无锡、苏州、海口建立起了四大体育产业基地,复制与落地赛事运营、体育旅游、场地租赁、体育培训、智能场馆、休闲康复等六类业务,成为区域性互联网+体育的产业先锋。
