锦州港于1986年10月开工建设，1990年10月正式通航，同年12月被国家批准为一类开放商港。1993年锦州港进行股份制改造，成为中国政企分开实行股份制经营的港口。1998年5月和1999年6月，锦州港Ｂ、Ａ两只股票先后在上海证券交易所上市。1998年12月，锦州港整体通过ISO9002国际质量体系认证，2010年12月，锦州港通过了中国船级社质量认证公司的质量、环境、职业健康安全管理体系认证。

At present, it has 24 berths, including 250000 ton oil berths, 100000 ton bulk cargo berths and 100000 ton special container berths. Oil products, grain, mineral powder, coal, steel, chemical fertilizer and domestic trade containers are the advantages of Jinzhou port. Jinzhou port now has integrated logistics service functions of domestic and foreign trade containers, oil products, chemicals, bulk and general goods, loading and unloading, storage, transportation, bulk filling and distribution, etc. At present, the transportation routes of Jinzhou Port reach all ports in the north and south of China, and establish navigation relations with more than 100 countries and regions in Asia, Europe, Oceania, America, Africa, etc.
