华森糖业于1965年在米易县丙谷镇开始建设米易一糖厂，1971年建成投产，生产规模为日处理甘蔗500吨。1979年和1982年两次进行技术改造，将日榨甘蔗由500吨扩大到800吨，再到1000吨。1986年在米易县攀莲镇广东山又异地兴建米易二糖厂，使华森糖业的日处理甘蔗的能力达到2500吨规模，企业建设发展已经有53年的历史。
