宁波舟山港是我国大陆重要的集装箱远洋干线港,国内较大的铁矿石中转基地和原油转运基地,国内重要的液体化工储运基地和华东地区重要的煤炭、粮食储运基地,是国家的主枢纽港之一。

一、战略区位和资源优势突出。宁波舟山港位于长江经济带与国家南北沿海运输大通道的T字型交汇处,紧邻亚太国际主航道要冲,对内可通过多式联运直接覆盖长江经济带及丝绸之路经济带;对外可直接面向东亚、东盟及整个环太平洋地区。宁波舟山港规划可建10万吨级以上泊位岸线长200公里,30万吨级以上超大型泊位深水岸线20公里,天然航道平均水深30-100公尺,30万吨级船舶畅通无阻。

二、国际枢纽港地位基本确立。宁波舟山港由镇海、北仑、大榭、穿山、梅山、金塘、衢山、六横、岑港、洋山等19个港区组成,现有生产泊位624座,其中万吨级以上大型泊位157座,设计吞吐能力7.74亿吨,居我国首位;集装箱吞吐能力1297万标箱,集装箱远洋干线118条,居全国前列。完成江海联运总量超2亿吨;开通海铁联运的城市达20个,海铁联运量达到17.1万标箱,具备开展国际集装箱过境运输业务资质。
