华锦集团原为辽宁省属企业，其前身是辽河化肥厂，该厂是我国较早引进的13套大化肥装置之一，年产合成氨30万吨、尿素48万吨，1972年1月筹建，1976年10月投产。1997年1月，以辽河化肥的全部经营性资产发起成立辽通化工股份有限公司并在深圳上市（代码000059，股票名称为“辽通化工”，2014年3月，更名为“华锦股份”），收购了锦西化肥。同年收购盘锦乙烯，公司开始进入石化领域。1997年底，组建辽宁华锦集团。2006年1月，建成新疆化肥，形成了辽宁盘锦、葫芦岛、新疆库车三大化肥生产基地。

Huajin Group, formerly an enterprise of Liaoning Province, formerly known as Liaohe Chemical fertilizer plant, is one of the 13 large chemical fertilizer plants introduced earlier in China, with an annual output of 300000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 480000 tons of urea. It was planned to be built in January 1972 and put into operation in October 1976. In January 1997, Liaotong Chemical Co., Ltd. was founded with all the operational assets of Liaohe Chemical Fertilizer and listed in Shenzhen (code 000059, stock name is "Liaotong chemical", in March 2014, it was renamed as "Huajin Co., Ltd.), and Jinxi Chemical fertilizer was acquired. In the same year, Panjin Ethylene was purchased, and the company began to enter the petrochemical field. At the end of 1997, Liaoning Huajin Group was established. In January 2006, Xinjiang chemical fertilizer was built, forming three chemical fertilizer production bases in Panjin, Huludao and Kuqa of Liaoning Province.
