江西中烟成立于2004年10月28日，2009年10月更名为江西中烟工业有限责任公司，是由江西烟草顺应行业工商管理体制改革分设而成，主要负责全省卷烟生产经营工作。公司成立以来，积极推进联合重组和管理体制改革，2005年底南昌卷烟厂、井冈山卷烟厂、兴国卷烟厂联合重组为南昌卷烟总厂，2006年底南昌卷烟总厂与赣南卷烟厂、广丰卷烟厂联合重组为新的南昌卷烟总厂，与江西中烟工业公司、中国烟草总公司构建三级母子公司体制；2007年底江西中烟与南昌卷烟总厂合并重组为一个企业法人实体，与中国烟草总公司构建二级母子公司体制；2009年底成立董事会，建立现代企业制度; 2013年赣南卷烟厂和兴国卷烟厂整合为赣州卷烟厂。

目前，公司下辖南昌卷烟厂、赣州卷烟厂、广丰卷烟厂、井冈山卷烟厂等四个生产企业，主要生产“金圣”品牌（含滕王阁、青花瓷、瑞香、经典等四个产品系列）和“庐山”品牌卷烟。作为中央驻赣企业，公司始终坚持“为江西经济社会发展多作贡献”的理念，努力通过做大企业规模，做精做强“金圣”品牌为江西财政增收、老区人民脱贫致富多作贡献。公司坚持以江西烟草“223”目标为统领，以加快“金圣”品牌发展为核心，以原料、研发、制造、营销“四大体系”建设为抓手，以管理、队伍、文化提升为保障，在传承、创新和发展中推动江西中烟实现跨越发展。

At the end of 2006, Nanchang cigarette General Factory, Gannan cigarette factory and Guangfeng cigarette factory were jointly reorganized into a new Nanchang cigarette General Factory. The company, together with Jiangxi Zhongyan Industrial Co., Ltd. and China tobacco general company, established a three-level parent-child company Company system; at the end of 2007, Jiangxi Zhongyan and Nanchang cigarette factory were merged and reorganized into an enterprise legal entity, and established a secondary parent subsidiary system with China Tobacco Corporation; at the end of 2009, the board of directors was established to establish a modern enterprise system; in 2013, Gannan cigarette factory and Xingguo cigarette factory were integrated into Ganzhou cigarette factory. At present, the company has four production enterprises under its jurisdiction, namely Nanchang cigarette factory, Ganzhou cigarette factory, Guangfeng cigarette factory and Jinggangshan cigarette factory. It mainly produces "Jinsheng" brand cigarettes (including tengwangge, blue and white porcelain, Ruixiang, classic and other four product series) and "Lushan" brand cigarettes. As a central enterprise in Jiangxi, the company always adheres to the concept of "making more contributions to the economic and social development of Jiangxi", and strives to make more contributions to Jiangxi's financial revenue increase and the poverty alleviation and prosperity of the people in the old areas by expanding the enterprise scale and strengthening the "Jinsheng" brand.
